Timebox a piece of work

Start a timer from any page:

• For a set length, 25 minutes or 2 hours.
• Until a clock time, like half twelve for lunch or half five for home time.
• Open, with no limit, to record how long something actually takes.

Give it a description, or link it to the ticket, pull request or unit of work you're on.

Watch it run down

While a timer runs, a glow along the bottom of the window shows how much time is left. It's full when you start and shrinks towards one corner as time passes, turning amber as you near the end.

Reaching zero doesn't stop the timer. The glow spreads across the whole bottom edge in red and the time you've gone over appears next to the clock.

Your time stays yours

Timed sessions are kept in Salience's encrypted local database, not as entities, so they don't appear alongside project work and aren't available over the MCP server.
